Public Health Director:

Lincoln County, Colorado seeks Public Health Director to work directly under the Board of County Commissioners. Full time position with benefits. Director provides public health and clinical expertise and leadership for disease control, epidemiology, public health regulation development and enforcement, maternal/child/infant health services, vaccinations, public health emergency preparedness and response, public health strategic planning and program development and serves as Registrar of Vital Records. Manages all programs provided through Public Health, including federal and state grants, local budgets and fiscal responsibility, and personnel activities for the department. Requires: valid Colorado license to practice as a Registered Nurse, with BSN highly recommended, MSN or PhD requested by State and valid Colorado driver’s license. Experience may be considered in lieu of some educational requirements. Salary commensurate with qualifications.

Administrative Assistant:

The Lincoln County Administrator’s Office is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. This is a 40 hour per week full-time position with an excellent benefit package. The starting salary is $3,040/month. The person in this position will perform duties under the direct supervision of the County Administrator and will serve as the chief administrative assistant of the county. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, assistance with: the county budget; human resources administration; administrative matters required by the Board of County Commissioners; grant writing and administration; administrative matters at the county landfill; and annual ambulance licensing. Skills required include knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration and governmental accounting and the ability to operate general office equipment, including a personal computer. This position requires strong communications skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal staff, citizens, and state and federal government agencies. Successful applicant will be expected, after adequate training, to assume the full duties and responsibilities of the County Administrator.
