Land Use Administrator

The Lincoln County Commissioners are accepting applications for the position of Land Use Administrator.  This is a 40-hour per week full time position with benefits.  The salary is negotiable, with a range of $3,178 to $3,958 paid monthly, and based on knowledge and experience. Applicants for this position must have the ability to read and interpret complex land use and zoning regulations, construction plans, code language and development permits. Applicant must possess computer skills to include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Windows, and Google Earth. Applicant must possess clerical skills to include typing, filing, and report composition. Also required is a general knowledge of the county terrain, experience working with the public, experience in the construction trades preferred, but not required, certifications to perform building inspections based on 2015 International Residential Code and Colorado Manufactured Housing installation inspections (will allow 6 months to obtain these certifications). Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.  GIS knowledge and uses are required. Applicant must be able to perform on-site inspections that may include walking to remote sites over rough terrain.  An application and job description may be obtained in the office of the County Administrator at the courthouse, 103-3rd.
