Public Health Director:

Lincoln County, Colorado seeks Public Health Director to work directly under the Board of County Commissioners. Full time position with benefits. Director provides public health and clinical expertise and leadership for disease control, epidemiology, public health regulation development and enforcement, maternal/child/infant health services, vaccinations, public health emergency preparedness and response, public health strategic planning and program development and serves as Registrar of Vital Records. Manages all programs provided through Public Health, including federal and state grants, local budgets and fiscal responsibility, and personnel activities for the department. Requires: valid Colorado license to practice as a Registered Nurse, with BSN highly recommended, MSN or PhD requested by State and valid Colorado driver’s license. Experience may be considered in lieu of some educational requirements. Salary commensurate with qualifications.

Part time Landfill Clerk:

The Lincoln County Commissioners are accepting applications for the position of part-time clerk at the county landfill. Applicants must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Windows. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent. Job duties include completion of computer-based reports and documents, fee collections and deposits, enforcing landfill rules and regulations, general clerical duties, cleaning and maintaining the landfill office and assisting in the collection of loose trash. Starting salary is $11.50/hour, but is negotiable depending upon qualifications and experience. Work hours will average 24 hours/week and may vary, but preferable work days will be Friday, Saturday and Monday. County Administrator:

The Lincoln County Commissioners are accepting applications for the position of County
Administrator. This is a full time position with benefits. Starting salary is $4,230/month. This
position performs duties under the general supervision of the County Commissioners and is the
chief administrative position of the county, responsible for the effective administration of all
governmental affairs of the county which may legally be placed within his/her charge. Duties
include, but are not limited to, county budget officer; management of all county insurance
policies; human resources director duties, including administration of employees’ health
insurance, the county’s retirement plan, personnel policy and salary schedules, and new
employee orientation; preparation, advertisement and management of bids; County
Commissioners’ work, including preparation of the agenda and coordination of appointments,
attendance at meetings, composition of correspondence, resolutions and items requiring action
by the Commissioners; preparation and management of grants; work required for the county
landfill and annual ambulance licenses. Skills required include knowledge of the principles and
practices of public administration and governmental accounting; analytical ability to make
sound, logical judgments and interpretations of rules and regulations; able to prepare complex
financial analysis and present in a concise manner; ability to operate general office equipment,
personal computer, and a motor vehicle; interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal
staff, citizens, contractors and both state and federal government agencies; strong
communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to deal with members of the
media on behalf of the county. Qualifications include experience in government administration,
budgeting and finance, personnel policies and benefits; knowledge of bidding procedures,
advertisement and scheduling; Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or similar area, with a
Master’s degree preferred. Experience in public administration or budget preparation may be
