The Lincoln County Commissioners are accepting applications for the position of Weed Control Coordinator. This is a 40-hour per week full time position with benefits. The salary is negotiable, with a range of $3,452 to $3,932 paid monthly, and based on knowledge, training, and experience. Applicants for this position must have a Commercial Drivers’ License. Applicants preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Weed Science or related field, but a high school diploma or GED would be accepted. Applicants must have experience in handling and with the application of chemical, mechanical and biological controls used in noxious weed management as well as knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations dealing with noxious weeds and herbicide use. Applicants must be in possession of or have the ability to obtain a Colorado Department of Agriculture Qualified Supervisor’s Pesticide Application license which is certified in the Agriculture Weed Control, Rangeland Pest Control, and the Industrial Right of Way Weed Control categories.
